Physical Unclonable Functions for Smart Applications

Overview

Outcome
Overview

We have developed a hardware based PUF on differential OTP memory. The intrinsic randomness due to oxide breakdown provides a platform for secure random number generation, which in principle can be exploited for encryptions. The aim of the project has been to develop a large encryption system which is un-hackable in contrast to software based PUF. DRDO is a customer for this product. We have demonstrated the prototype and now we are in process of taping out further encryption blocks such as SHA, AES, ECC etc.
