Announcing the launch of the third edition of the 2-month (10th May – 10th July) paid Trust Lab Summer Internship program!

The Trust Lab Summer Internship offers undergraduate and graduate students practical experience in projects focused on digital trust. Through this initiative, interns will collaborate closely with IIT Bombay faculty mentors, gaining valuable insights and contributing to research projects focused on Digital Trust.

The program will span two months and require onsite participation from all selected attendees.

All interns will receive a competitive stipend (8K-12K/month) for the two (2) months that they spend on the IIT Bombay campus.

On-campus accommodation will be provided to the interns.

Who is eligible to apply for the Trust Lab Summer Internship?

The program is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students from recognized universities. Ideally, applicants should have a background in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related fields with a strong interest in Digital Trust and Cybersecurity.

No. This is a strictly onsite program. All selected interns are required to be physically present at the IIT Bombay campus in Mumbai for the entire two-month duration to facilitate close collaboration with faculty mentors and peers.

You will need to provide:

  • An updated CV/Resume
  • A Statement of Purpose (SOP) explaining your interest in Digital Trust
  • Contact details of one or two academic referees (professors who can vouch for your work)

Selection is merit-based. Faculty mentors review applications based on academic performance, the strength of your SOP, and how well your skills align with specific research projects. Some projects may require a brief online interview or a technical screening.

The stipend ranges between ₹8,000 and ₹12,000 per month, depending on the specific project requirements and the candidate’s academic standing.

Yes, on-campus accommodation is provided to all selected interns, including food at the hostel mess.

During the application process, you will typically be able to indicate your preference for specific projects or faculty mentors. While we try to match interests, final project allocation depends on the mentor’s requirements and the applicant’s profile.

Yes. All interns who successfully complete the two-month program and submit their final project report will receive an official internship certificate from Trust Lab, IIT Bombay.
