Participants can choose between two focused tracks: Cybersecurity and Software Development, each offering a range of courses designed to build deep, industry-relevant expertise. To earn a Professional Certificate, learners must complete any three courses within a track.

Each course is self-contained yet complementary, allowing professionals, educators, and advanced students to tailor their learning journey while working toward a rigorous, IIT Bombay-certified credential.

The Software Development track is built to help learners progress from core development concepts to full-scale deployment. It begins with the fundamentals of Unix and front-end technologies, then moves into modern web development using stacks like MERN, and culminates in full-stack application building. Learners will gain experience in version control, cloud deployment, and software engineering practices that reflect real-world team workflows.

The Cybersecurity track covers a wide spectrum of foundational and advanced topics critical to securing today’s digital infrastructure. Participants will explore the principles of cryptography, the mechanics of web application security, and the complexities of securing large-scale networks. The courses are hands-on and lab-driven, equipping learners to identify vulnerabilities, design secure systems, and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.

Prof. Kameswari Chebrolu, from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay, is the course instructor.  She has conducted numerous teacher-training workshops, impacting over 10,000 educators in specialized Computer Science subjects and the utilization of educational technology tools. Currently, she holds the prestigious Prof. D.M. Dhamdhere Chair for Excellence in Teaching Methods. Prof. Chebrolu’s commitment to excellence has been recognized through awards such as the IITB Excellence in Teaching Award at the departmental level in 2022 and the institute level in 2010.
